The Smart, the Dumb, and the Just Plain Ugly

This round's certainly proven one thing to me, I have to admit. It's shown me that a dumbass by any other name is still a dumbass. A moron that happens to be called something else is still a moron, and an ungrateful one at that. Gervase comes to me pretty much begging me for help and for him not to go. I extend the hand and offer to help, with the whole idea to take out Todd, and the STUPID IDIOT chooses to target me because he can't see the bigger picture. Sometimes you have to sacrifice people in this game, and if he wasn't prepared to at some point sacrifice Neleh in order to get himself further and in a better position. I mean, we're all playing this game for ourselves, and I don't think people in this game would be all "hey, I'll take the bullet and get voted out so that this person can possibly stay in and go further". Pretty much, I'm stuck depending on the MAT-rio this round and voting with them by hoping that Alex blabbing something to Todd didn't turn them off of working with me.

Seriously, this round was supposed to be simple, easy, and logical, but everybody freaking out, running around, and doing completely ridiculous things to the point that it's not only irritating PG and Penny, but it's REALLY pissing me off. I've worked too damn hard and put too much effort into my plans to have some DUMBASS screw it all up by being all "wah wah, I can't do that to Neleh, wah wah". Well, if that's his freaking attitude, then guess what, he can go home WITH HER. There, those Malawians came into the game together, so why not leave together too? On top of everything, Alex apparently went and blabbed to Todd about people wanting Todd out. However, PG mentioned it to him after I mentioned it to her, so if it IS true that he did, then Todd would likely be pissed at her and not me. Do I want Todd pissed at her? No, it hurts my position, but I sure as hell don't want the MAT-rio pissed off at me.

Tracy and Alex might well be doing their own separate thing that my group's not being told about, but that's sort of to be expected as they're both "outcasts" in that they were brought back into the game despite both of them already being voted out already. Do I think either of them are quite aware of exactly what my partnership with Penny is? No, since there's no reason as to why they should be aware of it. I'm hoping I can still get Kelly to go along with things and vote for Neleh and Gervase, since they've been pushing for Todd and I to go and Gervase wants to ride Neleh's ass (both literally and figuratively) to the end like a bitch in hopes he'll somehow be rewarded for it. Fortunately, PG has a vote blocker and an extra vote, and Amanda's banished from the boards and as such can't vote. Essentially, that's 2 extra votes for my side and 1 less vote for their side. This round's gonna be ugly as hell, but I've got WAY too much game left in me to let things go to hell now. Marcus, Adam, and Todd can wait until Final 8, 9, or 10, but this crap with Gervase has got to end. Now.

Okay, so NOW I'm hearing that the vote's supposed to be for Todd and Alex of all people instead of Neleh and Gervase. Not to mention, I hear that apparently Gervase was trying to make sure that I got saved and suggested Alex instead. Wait, what? Did he figure out that I was going to strangle him if he tried to go after me for offering to help him? PG says she's pretty sure that it's Todd and Alex going and that she thinks we can get Kelly to vote that way too. I'm trying to talk to Tracy, but she might be in with Alex, like I said. It's hard to get Kelly's thoughts on where she stands when I don't know if she's fallen off the face of the earth or not. But hell, look at the way we have groups broken down here so far.

Neleh/Gervase/Amanda: Now this one's a given. The Malawi 3 are pretty obviously working together, but they're also relatively weak in terms of things.

me/PG/Penny: This one's not so obvious to the others as few know my closeness to Penny, but well, I've explained our situation a good bit.

Alex/Marcus/Adam/Todd: I'm almost certain Alex is with the MAT-rio, though I've got no idea WHY he'd do that since he's obviously the 4th wheel and will be thrown away by those three when push comes to shove. However, whether it makes sense or not, I have to accept it as the most likely scenario and act accordingly.

That leaves Kelly and Tracy as two people who I'm not quite 100% sure where they stand. Tracy has always been on my side so far, but up until now, she's been with me partly because the Hispaniola people have been sticking together and Dave did what he did. The big question now happens to be, is Tracy's loyalty to me, or is it to Alex? She's said her loyalty is to me, and I want to believe her because each round in the past she has given me reason to believe her. Yet, apparently she went to Alex with info that PG told her and that makes me wonder a bit, so after this round, I'll know where she stands.

With Kelly...she's almost never around to talk to anybody, and that could mean that the only idea she has about the vote is the message that Neleh has been trying to spread. If that message is Todd and Alex, then fine, that's good. If that message is something else that involves voting me out, I could well be in hot water. Personally, I don't really care which of Neleh, Gervase, Alex, and Todd goes, just as long as I'm not one of the people going and that it gets me further.
